Happy New Year, a year in review.
At the beginning of a new year, it’s time to look back at the previous one. The things we’ve done, all the great experiences, but also the lesser moments. Last year has been quite a roller coaster for us, mostly because health issues limited the things we were able to do. We both feel that last year was one of the toughest we’ve recently experienced. Thankfully, we can also look back on some amazing highlights, mostly because of our fetishes and what they add to our lives.
Events early in the year
In recent years we’ve started going to more fetish events. It kinda snowballed since our first invite for Kink In Bruges. We truly loved the small scale and personal experience of it. No loud music, so you can actually have a normal conversation. Plus the fact that during the weekend you can also hang out with like-minded people. This is exactly what we enjoy; hence, we started 2025 with our first EFM visit, and we loved it! It was also the moment for me to do photoshoots with other people, outside the safety of a studio environment. Spending a long weekend surrounded by rubberists is fantastic. Just relax in your fetish attire and have a great time.
GFB followed shortly after. We loved it and had a great time, apart from the ball itself. It’s just not for us. We went spontaneously and last minute, so we didn’t buy tickets. At the door we couldn’t buy them because it was cash only. Usually not a problem, but in our rubber outfits we don’t carry a lot of it. So we had to find an ATM, and nobody could tell us where the closest one was. It took almost an hour out of our evening, with the accompanying annoyance, as you can probably imagine.
Fill the void!
Inside the venue, the music was too loud to enjoy, and I’m careful not to worsen my already horrible tinnitus. So we spent the evening mostly outside. At some point someone close to us decided it’s a good idea to lash out with a large whip in a crowd without having an eye for their surroundings. Not cool! And we noticed a few brutal ‘mistresses’ who clearly had no clue what they were doing. So it was the last time for us. Thankfully our stay at the nhow hotel and its surroundings made up for the few downsides and made it another great experience for us. We’ve booked for next year, so if you want to meet up or plan a shoot, feel free to get in touch around the event.
What followed was a big gap of nothing before we finally made our way to Belgium for KIB in October. Quite the wait, and we’re hoping that some nice event(s) will erupt to fill the void; there are some rumours already, and time will tell. Our third KIB was another wonderful weekend, and it’s great to see how a spontaneous (birthday) party slowly evolves and becomes more professional every year.
The community and friends
We are grateful for being part of a fantastic community, spread out over many countries and even continents. Because of that, it can be hard to do spontaneous visits. Usually you see each other at the usual events. However, last year we’ve welcomed several friends who found their way to our hometown. Either because they were in the area to visit a concert, doing a road trip and passed along or specifically to meet for the first time after many years of being in touch.
What’s funny is that you get to see people in their daily clothes for the first time, as during events everyone is rubbered up. Things you never really think about but realise when they happen. Welcoming them at our place during the summer months kinda filled the void between GFB and KIB; thanks for that!
Finally, the website
You’re reading this on my website, which I built from scratch a while ago but I was never really happy with the looks. After Kink in Bruges last year, I’ve spent a couple of weeks giving it a complete overhaul. Finetuning everything and correcting many small mistakes in the backend. Something that had to be done for the long run. In the last quarter I’ve added more content in writing and visuals, but the thought of doing weekly posts was a tad optimistic.
There are some ideas of content that I want to add in the near future, and I will continue to work on that at my own pace. My online activity doesn’t generate income, as we merely share to inspire. Hence, I’m not always active. But hopefully we can slowly reach more people who are interested in latex and help them explore their curiosity. Looking forward to the new year and giving this website another boost. We’re always open to your feedback.
Wishing you all a fantastic and shiny 2026.
Happy New Year!
